Twilight actress and Joe Jonas’s main squeeze Ashley Greene is looking to have a big year in 2011. Along with the release of Breaking Dawn: Part 1 later this year, Greene will appear in a number of films, including Skateland, which is described as an '80s coming-of-age tale; The Apparition, a supernatural thriller that ”brings Twilight together with Harry Potter”; the comedy Butter; and LOL: Laughing Out Loud, which also stars Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore.
Greene explains to MTV News that while they were shooting LOL on location in Europe, there was much attention surrounding filming, as Twilight fans and Miley Cyrus supporters surrounded production. Greene explains the reason for the attention is the fact that Cyrus is a “phenomenon.”
“Miley is a phenomenon — she's accomplished so much in the movie, TV and music worlds that it's not surprising how much attention was attracted during filming," Greene says. "But we're both professional and understand that we're there to do our jobs. Work was our number-one priority, and everything else was background.”
Greene also reveals that her character in the film, fashion-wise, is nothing like herself, since she is more of a Jackie O or Audrey Hepburn, fashionably speaking.
“I definitely have a say in [the clothes I wore], but it's more about what fits my character than me personally. In LOL, my character, Ashley, wears some pretty outrageous and provocative outfits that I'd never wear in real life!” she adds.
Ashley Greene’s other highly anticipated film is Breaking Dawn. Greene says, with part two in production, it is fun to shoot the fight scenes of the film.
“[The] most excited [scene] to film and see would be the big fight sequence against the Volturi," she says. "As a cast, we like to do as many of our own stunts as possible, so it's fun and challenging to shoot those scenes.”
She reveals that her reaction to Kristen Stewart as a vampire was, “[I was] glad to have her officially join the Cullen family!”
Both LOL and Breaking Dawn are due out later this year.
